Destination Imagination Information 2019-20
D.I. Advisor: Colleen Quiram email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Destination Imagination (DI) is a global educational nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators, leaders and creative problem solvers. Student teams of five to seven students choose the type of competition they wish to compete in, which culminates in a performance at the West Metro Regional D.I. Tournament on February, 22nd 2020. Students will practice with their adult advisor, who will set a practice schedule of one to two times per week during the D.I. season. See the website below for additional information.
Please fill out the form below to register your child. Completing this registration form does not guarantee the student will be placed on a team. The maximum number of students on a D. I. team is seven. We can only offer the program to more students if we have the assistance of volunteer coaches. Training and materials will be provided to all volunteers. In the event we have more registrations than open spots, students will be given priority if they competed in the previous year.
Pre-season student meeting for those interest in D.I. - Thursday, October 24th, 2019 (from 3:10pm - 3:30pm in room F128 (Mrs. Rattai's room))
Registration deadline - Tuesday, October, 29th 2019
West Metro Regional Tournament - February 22nd, 2020
Minnesota State D.I. Tournament - March 21st, 2020
Students may advance to the state competition with a qualifying score.
Destination Imagination Advisor Colleen Quiram (email@example.com) will be contacting students who have registered to inform them of their status in D.I. and communicate a practice schedule.
Parent volunteers are necessary for the creation of multiple teams and increased participation numbers. Please contact the Activities Director at your child’s school if you would be interested in becoming a Destination Imagination parent volunteer.
