    School Year 2023 - 2024 Kindergarten Registration

    Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year will begin February 1, 2023.  Registration is to be completed online via a ParentVue Account.  Registration information and ParentVue account set-up information will be mailed to families beginning January 23, 2023.  If you don’t receive registration information in your mailbox by February 1st, please email register4kdgn@mystma.org with the following information: 

    • Student(s) Full Legal Name
    • Student(s) Birthdate
    • Home Address
    • Parent(s) Full Legal Name (as it appears on your state ID)
    • Parent(s) Email and Phone Number (if parents live at separate households, please include both addresses)
    • Please indicate if any IEP/Special Education Services records are active

    Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023, to enter kindergarten. 

    Immunization records are required and must be submitted before your child will be allowed to attend school.

    Early Childhood Screening is required and must be completed before the first day of school.  If Early Childhood Screening has not been completed, available screening dates and more information can be found online at https://www.stma.k12.mn.us/Page/5772, or by contacting Lindy Legatt at 763-497-6528 or via email at ecscreening@mystma.org. 

    Open Enrollment – Families living outside of the STMA school district will need to apply for open enrollment.  More information can be found on the district website at https://www.stma.k12.mn.us/Page/157.  The open enrollment process is a separate process from kindergarten registration – both need to be completed. 

    The following documents are needed for all enrollments:

    *Proof of residency (current driver’s license, current utility bill, letter from gov’t agency, lease agreement or purchase agreement)

    *Proof of age (Birth certificate, passport / Visa, official gov’t document indicating child’s full legal name and birthdate.  Birth Certificates can be purchased at DMV counter if born in MN.)

    *Immunization Record

    I don’t have a ParentVue account – what do I do?

    Contact Karen Sorensen at register4kdgn@mystma.org to get an activation key to set up your account.

    What if I already have a ParentVue account?

                Beginning February 1, 2023, you may login to your account and begin a New Student Enrollment.  Your student must be set up in our student information system and your ParentVue account prior to beginning the registration process.  Contact register4kdgn@mystma.org if you do not see your kindergartener in your ParentVue account.

    Is there a deadline to register for kindergarten?

                To receive your invitation to our Spring Open House event, we need your registration by April 21, 2023.  Also, the earlier you complete your child’s registration will enable us to plan our staffing needs for the 2023-24 school year.

    What do I do if my kindergartener will not be attending Albertville Primary?

                If your child will not be attending Albertville Primary, please contact Karen Sorensen at register4kdgn@mystma.org, or complete the Non-Attendance Form and return it to that same email address or the school.  You will continue to receive registration reminders until you notify us that your child will not be attending.  It will also help us determine accurate enrollment numbers to plan effectively for the 2023-24 school year.

    Once I register online, will the registration process be complete?

                These steps must be completed in order to fully complete your child’s kindergarten registration:

    1.  Submit the required documents – either during the online registration process or directly to the school.  These include:  proof of address, proof of age (birth certificate), and immunization records.
    2. Early Childhood Screening is required before entering kindergarten.  Available screening dates and more information can be found online at https://stma.ce.eleyo.com, or by contacting Lindy Legatt at 763-497-6528 or lindyl@mystma.org.
    3. Immunizations must be up-to-date for kindergarten entrance and must be on file before the first day of school.

    What do I do if I live outside the St. Michael Albertville school district and want to register for kindergarten?

    Complete the Open Enrollment process found on the Enrollment Choices Page of the district website. This is a separate process from the online kindergarten registration process – both processes are required for open enrolled families.
