    Volunteer Opportunities

At Middle School East we are always seeking learning opportunities for students and appreciate volunteers who are willing to share their time, knowledge, and talents with staff and students in our school. Each year, we utilize our volunteers to help with vision and hearing screenings, to supervise activity nights, to speak to students about relevant topics in areas of their expertise, to assist with skill development in responsive hour classes, or to fill needs as they arise throughout the school year. If you are interested in volunteering at Middle School East, please email Teri Odland or call 763-497-2655 ext. 3001. To volunteer, you will need to complete a background check.

Background Checks for School Classroom Volunteers & Chaperones

Volunteer background checks are part of our efforts to keep our schools safe for students, staff, and visitors. School classroom volunteers and chaperones must have a one time background check completed by ISD 885. Please email Becca Heuring to request a background check be processed. Be sure to include your full name, email address, and phone number in the body of your message. There is a $15.00 fee to have a background check processed. A link to the Trusted Employees website to enter your information and pay by credit card will be emailed to you for completion.
