People often feel that as their son or daughter moves to the middle level their opportunities to partner with their child’s school ends. Nothing could be further from the truth at Middle School East. We are excited to provide a number of opportunities for you to be involved at Middle School East.

    Volunteers to Work with Students
We have been working to continually personalize the educational opportunities for our students and need your help! A team of staff members is collaborating to provide additional support to meet the individual learning needs of our students. As we do this, we are realizing we are in need of volunteers to work with individuals or small groups of students on reading or math interventions similar to interventions implemented at the elementary level. A member of the Middle School East staff will train volunteers on these simple intervention strategies that have been proven to help increase student achievement.

    Activity Night Volunteers

Middle School East will host Activity Nights throughout the year for both Middle School East and West students. We welcome parent volunteers to assist in selling concessions, playing games and supervising students.

    • 7th and 8th Grade Activity Night -- November 9, 2018, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
    • 8th Grade Activity Night -- February 22, 2019, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
    • 5th and 6th Grade Activity Night -- April 5, 2019, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.

We appreciate any and all efforts you make in partnering with our school as we collaboratively work to support our students at Middle School East. If you would like more information about any volunteer opportunity, please contact the Middle School East Office, at 763-497-2655 ext. 93000.
