    Welcome to the Special Services web page for the St. Michael-Albertville School District! The purpose of Special Services at STMA is to facilitate appropriate education for students with diverse learning needs and abilities; this is accomplished through collaboration with general education to provide a continuum of services in partnership with families and community agencies.

    Services are available for learners who meet eligibility requirements established by state and federal education departments in the following: Special Education, Section 504, and the Homeless/McKinney-Vento Act.

Inclusive Schools Week

  •  December 2-8th, 2019 is Inclusive Schools Week as proclaimed by Governor Walz

    Whereas:  Minnesota is committed to providing education in schools and classrooms that is welcoming and inclusive for all Minnesota children; and

    Whereas:  Minnesota educators recognize that each child is unique and learns better if teaching is tailored to their abilities and interests; and

    Whereas: The educators and families of Minnesota have been working hard to ensure that classrooms and schools are characterized as being high performing and inclusive; and

    Whereas: Through these efforts, the educators and families of Minnesota have contributed significantly to building a stronger and more inclusive community; and

    Whereas: Minnesota educators and families deserve to celebrate their successes and to reflect on how they can continue to further improve; and

    Whereas: Minnesota families and educators join with schools, districts, and communities around the country celebrating Inclusive Schools Week.
