Wednesday, September 21st

  • STMA high schoolers will be at MSE Thursday and Friday selling Knights merchandise. If you might like to purchase something, bring money! More details about specific merchandise and which lunches they will be here for to come!

  • The Adapted Soccer team, the Coyotes, opened their season on the road Tuesday against a tough White Bear Lake team. 8th grader Matthew Centko assisted a teammate with a goal in the third period to put the Coyotes on the board. The Bears beat the Coyotes 14-2. The Coyotes travel to Robbinsdale-Cooper Thursday to take on the Hawks at 4:30.

  • Last night the Knights took on the Bulldogs for their first 8A volleyball game, and they trained those pups in all three games. Esme, Arden, and Lexi had some great kills at the net. Lexi took on a new position and still got the kills. Arden also showed off her serving skills with a 10-serve run. Addi, Esme, Kaidyn, and Saddie showed the pups a few aces. Great job taking the win in all three games ladies.

  • The MSE 7th grade volleyball teams won 5 of their 6 games Tuesday night. The girls were excited, and all played well! With lots of support in the stands and happy parents, it was a great night.

  • Do you have an interest in nature? Or creating beautiful places for everyone to enjoy? Or getting involved with your community?  Or working with others on a nature project outside of school?

You might want to check out STMA MSW Conservation Crew!

Conservation Crew is a student-led extracurricular school program for middle schoolers. Rooted in service learning, students develop leadership skills by designing and implementing conservation projects to impact their schools and communities.  Open to grades 5-8, we will be meeting twice a month after school on Thursdays from 3:10-4:00 to design, create, and implement a project for our school grounds!  We hope to see you!

If interested, sign up with the 7th grade science teacher, Mr. Jeffery.  There will be a signup sheet outside his door for you to fill out.  Our first meeting will be Thursday, September 29.

  • Art Club starts today, September 21st from 3:15-4:45 in Mrs. Iverson's Art room.  Bring a snack and a pencil!

  • Love taking pictures? Want to learn how to capture the best moments?  Yearbook is looking for 3-4 photographers for the school year to take pictures at MSE sporting events, activity nights, homecoming week, school events, etc. If you are in grades 6-8 and interested, please email Ms. Murray-Vedders for an application.  Additional opportunities to participate in the yearbook will be available in January.

  • No food is allowed out of the cafeteria from breakfast or lunch. This includes water bottles purchased at school. We are starting to see trash on the ground out at recess. Please help keep our school and grounds clean.

  • We will be out back for recess today. Please make sure to help clean up the equipment at the end.

  • Please make sure to bring your student ID with you to lunch. Scanning as you go through the line makes it go faster so everyone has more time to eat.

  • The main entree is chicken patty or spicy chicken patty on a bun with fries.

  • The pizza options are pepperoni, cheese, or Hawaiian pizza.

  • The sides are green beans, assorted vegetables, assorted fruits, canned pears, and milk.

Have a great day, Middle School East!!!
