Good Morning!!  It’s Wednesday, January 18th

• MSE Family Knight will be tomorrow from 4-5. Come to play games and interact with your families and teachers. Parent teacher conferences will follow from 5-7. There will be no Boys Basketball practice Thursday night due to the Family Knight games.

• The STMA High School Swim and Dive team competed in True Team Sections on Saturday in Brainerd.  STMA placed second out of six teams with a score of 873.  Middle School East students Brett B, Grady R, Nolan F, and Henry Trepresented STMA at the meet and earned points for the team!

• Thanks to all the students who participated in the Winter Reading Challenge.  We had great participation. We would like to announce the following students who won the round two drawing for book fair coupons for the upcoming March book fair.  If your name is called, stop by the media center to pick up your coupon.  Congratulations!

• Last night the Knights 8th grade A team hosted the Big Lake Hornets and what a game it was! The Knights jumped out to an 11-0 run before the Hornets even got on the board. The Knights lead the whole game never looking back. Thomas lead the way with 15 points, Jared finished with 8 points, and LaRon had 10 points. Adam and Patrick both had 2 points. The Knights won the game 37-26. 

• The 8B Knights Boys Basketball team started the season off with a win against the Big Lake Hornets with a final score of 42-24. The Knights were lead by  Baylor L who had a team high 19 points, Aiden S chipped in with 8 points followed by Brady A with 6 points and Jacob K with 5 points. 

• The Knights 7th Grade A Basketball team played an intense game against the Big Lake Hornets last evening. Though they fell to the Hornets 40-47, The Knights fought back from a double-digit deficit to pull within 3 points by half time. Each of the eight Knights that suited up scored at least 2 points and were led by Finn D(10 pts), Aiden E (9 pts), and Zach R (8 pts). Up next for the Knights is a long trek to STMA Middle School West! Go Knights!

• The Knights 7th Grade, Blue looked strong against the visiting Big Lake Hornets last night in a 41-9 victory. Jon A scored 16 points, but what truly brought us the victory was the Knight’s hounding presence on the defensive end. Great passing and fantastic defense go a long way! Go Knights!

• Attention Students, outerwear like coats, jackets, hats need to be put in your locker when you arrive and should not be worn in classes. Water is allowed in classes, but other beverages are not. 

• Mid-trimester is coming up next Friday, January 27th.  Students in activities must be passing all classes at mid-term to continue participating. Make sure to check your grades and work with your teachers to stay on top of things.

• We are out front for recess today. Remember, you are not guaranteed a media center pass, so always bring your coat with you to the cafeteria.

• The main entree is a regular or spicy chicken patty on a bun with fries.

• The pizza options are pepperoni, cheese, or Hawiian pizza.

• The sides are creamy coleslaw, assorted vegetables, assorted fruits, pears, and milk.
