Good Morning!!  It’s Wednesday, January 25th.

• Yearbook designers' meeting is canceled for Thursday, January 25th.  Please watch the announcements for a make-up meeting with Mrs. Murray Vedders.

• The 7th Grade East Blue B Boys Basketball Team matched up against STMA West in a tightly contested game. East carried a 12-10 lead into the second half, but despite their solid defense, they fell to West 29-27 on a shot by West with about 3 seconds remaining. East knows how much good defense can impact a game, and they look forward to their matchup against North Branch Middle on Thursday. Go Knights!

• The 7th Grade East Gold Team played their first game of the season yesterday against rivals STMA West. West was a worthy opponent and led at the half. East tightened up their defense in the second half but ultimately came up short in a 37-19 loss. Jayden L had a few timely buckets toward the end of the contest and Cooper W had a huge block late in the second half that fired his coach up! Gold will face Becker on 1/30/23. Go Knights!

• The 8B Knights boys basketball team took on their inner city rivals took Middle School West and lost a close one 44-36. The Knights trailed Middle School West by 2 at halftime but could not get over the hump to take the lead. Aiden S led the Knights with 18 points. Zach B also chipped in with 7 points as well. The Knights are back home Thursday, January 26th as they take on North Branch.

• Students, please remember to pay for your Exploratory day activity! Payments can be done online through ParentVue, or with Cash or Check. See your activity advisor with questions.

• Media Center passes will not be available through Wednesday this week due to NWEA testing.

• Attention Students, outerwear like coats, jackets, hats need to be put in your locker when you arrive and should not be worn in classes. Water is allowed in classes, but other beverages are not. 

• Mid-trimester is coming up on Friday, January 27th.  Students in activities must be passing all classes at mid-term to continue participating. Make sure to check your grades and work with your teachers to stay on top of things.

• Plan to be out front for recess today. Please bring your coat with you to the cafeteria.

• The main entree is homemade pasta bake with garlic toast.

• The pizza options are pepperoni, cheese, or Hawaiian.

• The sides are caesar salad, assorted vegetables, assorted fruits, pears, and milk.
